Good to know

What is a flamenco tablao?

An intimate, up-close flamenco performance — song (cante), guitar, and dance (baile) — the way it is done in Andalucía, Spain. No stage, no distance: the artists perform just feet from you.

Do I need to know anything about flamenco?

Not at all. It is a performance, not a class — you come, sit close, and let it move you. First-timers leave as fans.

When do shows run during Balloon Fiesta?

Afternoon and evening shows, October 2–11 — so they fit neatly around the dawn balloon ascensions. Pick a time below.

How long is a show, and what does it cost?

About 60–90 minutes. Tickets are $50, all ages are welcome, and the room is small — Balloon Fiesta week fills up.

Where are you — and what’s nearby?

Casa Flamenca is at 401 Rio Grande Blvd NW, minutes from historic Old Town Albuquerque. Make an evening of it — take a stroll through Old Town’s plaza, shops, and restaurants before or after the tablao.
