Casa Flamenca constantly rotates guest artists direct from Andalucía. That steady rotation is what keeps the spontaneity and improvisation alive — flamenco at its heart. No two shows are ever alike. Below are the current and past artists who have performed and taught at Casa Flamenca.
Amparo Heredia
“La Repompilla”
Cantaora · Singer · Málaga, Spain
Cantaora and niece of the legendary La Repompa de Málaga — daughter of Rafaela Reyes “La Repompa” and guitarist Luis Heredia. In 2021 she won La Lámpara Minera, the top prize of the Festival Internacional del Cante de las Minas and one of flamenco’s highest honors for cante.
Raquel Heredia

Bailaora · Dancer · Málaga, Spain
Bailaora of the Repompa de Málaga dynasty — niece of the original La Repompa and sister of the cantaora Amparo Heredia. Largely self-taught in a gitano style, she has toured with Juan Andrés Maya’s company and danced alongside Antonio Canales, El Farru, and Pepe Torres.
Mari Peña
Cantaora · Singer · Utrera, Spain
Cantaora from Utrera, born into the Peña family of Lebrija and related to Fernanda and Bernarda de Utrera and to Juan Peña “El Lebrijano.” She carries the soleá de Utrera and the cantiñas de Pinini at their source, and performs as a duo with her husband, guitarist Antonio Moya.
Rafael Campallo

Sevilla bailaor (b. 1974). Trained with José Galván and Manolo Marín, danced with the Compañía Andaluza de Danza under Mario Maya, and won the ‘El Desplante’ award at La Unión (1999). A fixture of the Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla.
Antonio Moya
Guitarrista · Guitarist · Utrera, Spain
Guitarist born in Nîmes (1965) to Andalucían parents and long settled in Utrera. Self-taught, with 30+ years accompanying cante — from Fernanda and Bernarda de Utrera to Manuel Agujetas and El Lebrijano — and a fixture of Sevilla’s Bienal de Flamenco since 1996. Husband and regular guitarist of the cantaora Mari Peña.
Diego Amador Jr.
Multiinstrumentista · Multi-instrumentalist · Sevilla, Spain
Of the Amador gypsy dynasty of Seville (b. 1993, Las 3000 Viviendas; nephew of Raimundo Amador of Pata Negra). A multi-instrumentalist — guitar, piano, cajón, and cante — who has toured with Tomatito, Joaquín Cortés, and Farruquito; his debut album, Presente en el tiempo, was directed by his father.
José Suárez
“El Torombo”
Bailaor · Dancer · Triana, Sevilla
Gitano bailaor from Triana (b. 1971), mentored by Farruco — who gave him the name “Torombo.” A revered Triana-rooted dancer of the Sevilla tradition who has shared stages with Manuela Carrasco, Juana Amaya, and Farruquito, and who brings flamenco into Seville’s prisons and to youth at risk.
Alejandro Granados

Bailaor born in Madrid (1961). Classically trained in Zaragoza under María de Ávila and in flamenco under Manolo Marín, he danced with the Ballet Nacional de España (1987–90) and three seasons at the Salzburg Festival under von Karajan — a choreographer and dancer of international standing.
Carmen Ledesma
Bailaora · Dancer · Sevilla, Spain
Bailaora and faithful representative of the Sevilla school, a disciple of Enrique el Cojo. She began dancing at four and won the Juana la Macarrona prize at Córdoba’s Concurso Nacional in 1983. One of flamenco’s significant living interpreters, sought worldwide as a teacher — including here in New Mexico.
María del Mar Fernández
Cantaora · Singer · Cádiz, Spain
Cantaora born in Cádiz (1978). She began performing at 14, toured internationally with Paco Peña’s company, and sang alongside Joaquín Cortés. She sang the Spanish vocals on “Señorita” in the Bollywood hit Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011) — her best-known international credit.
Sebastián Sánchez
Cantaor · Singer · Cádiz, Spain
A powerful, emotive cantaor born in 1995 in El Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz, into a flamenco family — son of guitarist Vicente Sánchez and nephew of the bailaor Paco del Puerto. He has performed across Spain and abroad, and taught cante at our 2023 season (Tientos and Cantiñas-Romance).
Kina Méndez

Cantaora from Jerez de la Frontera (b. 1978), niece of the legendary La Paquera de Jerez and born into that great Jerez family — bulerías and soleá at their source. She has sung at Sevilla’s tablao Los Gallos and shared stages with Manuel Moneo, La Macanita, and Mario Maya.
